Valentine’s Day Sweet Treats

It has been said that the fastest way to a person’s heart is through their stomach. While we might argue that it’s a wee bit more complicated than that, it’s surely a thoughtful (and tasty!) way to express love and adoration.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day some of our romance experts decided to offer a few fun ideas to give a seasonal twist on some old favorites… Enjoy!

  • Cut pizza dough in the shape of a heart, add your favorite toppings, and you’ll have a customized meal that delivers a special, loving message. Bonus points for cutting your pepperoni into heart shapes!

  • Bake special Valentine’s Day cupcakes by placing a marble in the muffin tin, which will press a heart shape in the paper cup as your treat bakes.

  • Cake pops have quickly become popular for birthday parties, but when rolled in Valentine’s Day themed sprinkles, they become a perfectly sized festive treat.

  • Super-size your conversation hearts by baking large heart-shaped cookies, ice them, and then paint on your own messages in food coloring using cotton swabs or special cookie markers.

  • Cookie cutters don’t have to be used for just your confectionary creations. You can also cut out pancakes, sandwiches, and if your cutter is metal, you could use it to shape eggs for an early morning Valentine’s Day surprise.
